You may have read on Facebook this week that Lakewood and Oviatt are in the running for a Wellmark grant. Around 120 different grants have been submitted and Wellmark will be awarding $10,000 to 35 of the projects submitted. We want to ensure that our Hydrated Warriors project wins!
The Hydrated Warrior project will allow each hallway at Lakewood to have a water bottle filling station for students’ Warrior water bottles, as well as adding a filling station and purchasing water bottles for second graders at Oviatt.
You can help us by voting daily and from different devices (vote from your phone, IPad, and computer daily — set up a reminder on your phone to vote on each device each day). The simple directions for voting are below. Please take a second out of your day to vote and encourage others to do the same. Please send this to friends, relatives, and anyone else. The voting link is posted on the Lakewood PE Facebook page, the Lakewood School Facebook page, the Norwalk PTO Facebook page and website. You can share it to your status and then keep sharing each day to encourage those you know to vote. As of yesterday, we were in 26th place out of 120 potential grants. We would love to stay in the top 25 so that we are in position to receive the grant. Voting ends on October 7th, so let’s keep the voting going strong and win this grant!
