As members of the Parent-Teacher Organization for Norwalk Elementary Schools, we are reaching out to ask your support and action in the bond election taking place Tuesday, Feb. 7. Please vote “Yes” to the bond, which will fund proposed construction projects to help ensure the children of our fast–growing community have the space they need to learn, and our district maintains its competitive stature to continue to draw the highest–quality educators.
Due to the district’s strong fiscal organization and planning, passage of this bond will not raise your property levy.
Among the proposed construction projects are:
- New Elementary: The construction of a new elementary school for 2nd and 3rd grade students, including necessary land purchase at 5516 G14 Hwy
- Oviatt Upgrades: Additional cafeteria and kitchen space; increased security measures; larger art and music classrooms; paved southeast parking area
- Middle School: Expanded corridors; increased security measures; HVAC and electrical upgrades, and paving of gravel areas south of the school
- High School: Renovated media center; expanded corridors; improved security; renovated Career Technical Education areas
